Choose The Straight Rail Stairlift That Is Right For Your Home

Bruno Elan Stairlift and Brooks 130 Stairlift By Acorn at Paramount Living Aids

Once you realize how installing a stairlift in your home can significantly improve your quality of life if your movement is restricted by age, illness or disability, the next question on your mind is which stairlift is right for you.  There are two different types of Stair Lifts – straight and curved. At Paramount Living Aids we have over 14 years of experience installing both.  In this post I would like to talk about our straight stairlift options.

What is a straight stairlift?

“Straight” and “curved” refers to the tracks along which the stairlift travels. If your stairs don’t have a landing or curve as they go up as in the case of spiral staircases, you would use a straight stairlift.

Our top straight rail options are the Brooks 130 and the Bruno Elan.

Both models can be installed for under $3,000 with outdoor options available as well. We use the Bruno Elite Curved for any staircases with curves, landings or if you need over run parking at the bottom and or top. The Bruno Elite Curved is custom made and does have a lead time attached to production. These rails are specific to the set of steps they were manufactured for. We recommend a free in-home estimate by a Paramount Living Aids technician, if you are interested in either model or type of stair lift.

Customers preparing for stair lift installation have very little to do. All the preparation is done on our end. We use all of the measurements taken at the free in home estimate to customize each rail for a specific set of steps. This is all done at our workshop. Installation will take approximately one hour and will be followed by an in depth demonstration for those who will be using the stair lift. Our team at Paramount Living Aids will not leave the installation appointment until everyone is comfortable and ready to use their brand new stair lift.
